After crying her eyes out, she walks off, past the hostile faces of the newly awoken Westview residents. Wanda finds herself back on the empty lot, in a town transformed back into what it was before. She and Vision have a heartfelt, bittersweet, moment. “Thanks for choosing me to be your mom,” Wanda tells Tommy and Billy, apparently saying goodnight for the last time. When all the bad guys have been dealt with, the little family heads home for one final goodbye. When White Vision learns the truth he simply says “I am Vision,” and flies off to who knows where. Vision battles himself, though ultimately the two Visions end up talking it out. So she closes the Hex back up and the big fight ensues. But as the Hex splits open, giving the townsfolk a way out (and SWORD a way in) the truth hits her: “You can save Westview or you can save your family,” Agatha tells her, as Vision and the boys begin to split into pieces, little fragments peeling off into the air, washing out of existence before Wanda’s eyes. She thinks she was keeping them safe, but they tell her that when they sleep they dream her dreams. Wanda clearly had no idea how invasive and horrific her sway over the town really was. When Agatha releases them from Wanda’s mind control they surround her, begging to be released or-barring freedom-allowed to die. Beyond the villains, Wanda is also forced to confront her victims.
