Otherwise, they might as well just drop the pretense altogether and say “look, much like the upcoming Walmart credit, this card entitles you to participate in a bumrush for free booze at the airport. The Capital One Lounge in DFW near Gate D22, and in the same part of the concourse as the American Airlines Flagship Lounge opened in late 2021. Of course the changes in 2023 will be interesting to wait and see. All the while PP comes with so many cards, and Amex did their network at a time when they are also trying to pump Platinum signups and toy with that card so it appeals to way more people than it did for the first couple decades. The lounge boom of the last 10 years has been rolled out without anyone really planning the endgame of what these lounges are supposed to do, and for whom.
